Ducks Lose Some, Gain Some

Ducks' outfielder Darrell Whitmore announced Friday he was leaving the team. Whitmore was leading the league in batting (.458) and RBIs (19). Manager Don McCormack would not give details of the departure.

Easy come - easy go.  Pitcher Chris Cumberland, who was only signed by the Ducks May 19 has been picked up by the Toronto Blue Jays for their Double-A Knoxville Team.  Cumberland had an ERA of 8.44 in 5-1/3 innings, appearing in three games of the road trip.

Adonis Harrison, who had been on the inactive list made a brief appearance Saturday (5/24) coming in at the top of the 8th inning to replace Paco Martin.  Harrison had been expected to be on the disabled list for a month, but returned after only two weeks.
