Cars that are black with the number 28
printed in red on the doors and roof and the Texaco logo printed on
the hood of the car. A black cordless remote control is sold with
the cars and reads in part
" FORWARD," and "REVERSE"
in yellow print. Participating
Texaco gas stations nationwide sold the cars under the "Need
for Speed" promotion,
however, problems with the circuits are rendering some of the Remote
Controlled Race Cars inoperable. These cars can overheat and emit

Galileo
Weather Thermometers
Nantucket Distributing is recalling Galileo
thermometers made of glass. The cylinder- shaped 17-inch high.
Thermometers have floating small
glass spheres filled with various colors of liquid. Attached to
each sphere is a metal disk with different temperatures embossed on
both sides. The spheres float
up and down within the cylinder to identify a
temperature based on their position within the cylinder. The
thermometers contain a liquid that is flammable and a hazardous substance

recalling "Take 2," "Travel Solutions,"
"Pioneer," "Travelite," and "Pro Sport"
4-in-1 strollers. The
strollers can unexpectedly collapse or the car seat/carrier adapter can
unexpectedly detach. When
this happens, an infant or young child inside the stroller or an attached
car seat/carrier can fall to the ground and suffer serious injuries. The
recalled strollers are for toddlers when used alone and for
infants when a car seat/carrier is connected to the stroller. Call

Electronic Light N' Learn activity gyms. Five detachable hanging rattle
toys have small round pegs at the top of the toys that can break off,
posing a choking hazard to young children. The Electronic Light N' Learn
activity gym is a multi-colored toy that converts into three different
toys, including a crib toy, a floor gym and a musical keyboard. The gyms'
main console has five buttons with numbers that make music when pressed
and automatically light up when the continuous song play option is
selected. Five detachable rattles in the shape of a bear, snail, star,

recalling Soft Landing Beanbag
cushions. This product is an infant cushion manufactured by Battat
for ParentsTM magazine.
Infant pillows and cushions have been banned since 1992 because they pose a
suffocation hazard to infants. In addition, two 8- to 9-inch cords,
which attach toys to the cushions, pose strangulation hazards. The
airplane-shaped cushions, measuring approximately 27 inches long by
21 inches wide, are covered in various solid-colored cloth panels,
and are filled with plastic foam pellets. They have a "smiley face" on the
front with a propeller that spins and makes clicking sounds, and a

Swings
on Backyard Gym Sets
Hedstrom(r)
Corp., and their subsidiary Backyard Products, are recalling to repair
Star Cruiser(r) and Rocket Rider(r) swings on backyard gym sets. Screws
that hold the swing together can fall out, causing the seat to fall to the
ground, posing an injury risk to children.The recalled swings, which come
with separate pieces for the seat and handle bars/leg rest, were sold with
Hedstrom metal and wood gym sets, wood kits, and as accessories. The Star
Cruiser has a one-piece seat, with a white plastic circle and the words,
"Star Cruiser" and "Hedstrom" on the front of the
handle bars/leg rest. A mesh backing, called a Safe-T TM Backrest, can be
connected to back of the seat. The Rocket Rider is a 'see-saw' swing, with
a white seat on which two children can sit back-to-back. The words,
"Rocket Rider" are printed on the front of each of the two

fire and burn hazards to consumers. The
recalled glue guns were sold in Sears Craftsman Instant-On Bonder Kits,
and included glue sticks, a silicone mat, and a black plastic case. The
glue gun is black with a red trigger, and bears the Craftsman logo on one
side. The other side has a label which reads in part, "Craftsman Glue
Gun 526.804420" and "Caution: Nozzle and Glue Can Cause

Inc. is recalling boys' vests because the elastic toggle cord on the end
of the zipper pulls can loosen and come off, posing a choking hazard to
young children. The recalled vests are red nylon/blue fleece reversible
zippered vests sold in toddler sizes 2T through 4T. They were sold under
the URIT and Parisian Kids brands. The zipper pulls have black and white
checkered elastic toggles on the ends. Return the vest to any Saks store
for a refund.

toys, which are also known as Zapper toys. The vinyl toys are about 2- to
3-inches long, and come in two different styles: a fish and lizard. When
the toy is squeezed, the balloon tongue attached to its mouth inflates or
rolls out. The balloon tongues and the cylinders holding the tongues on
these toys can detach, which poses choking and aspiration hazards to young

break during use causing the rider to lose control of the bicycle, fall
and suffer serious injuries . The recalled forks have a date code on the

flame can ignite the silver paint coating on the candle container,

nightcap and pom-pom because the yellow pom-pom can detach, posing a
choking hazard to young children. The bear was included as a promotional
item in Snuggle(r), Cuddle Up(r), Fresh Rain(tm), and Sweet Slumber(tm)
fabric softener products sold in twin packs.
The bean bear is 5 inches tall and wears a blue nightcap with a
yellow moon and star design. Consumers should immediately remove the
bear's pom-pom to eliminate the choking hazard and call (800)-598-5005. No
other Snuggle bears are included in this recall.
Padlocks

Ruger & Co. is recalling padlocks and cable gun locks that bear the
"Ruger" name. The padlocks can be opened using keys other than
those originally provided with the locks and the cable locks can be opened
if struck with force potentially allowing unauthorized access to a
firearm. The red cable locks were
shipped with Ruger rifles and shotguns. These

bars attachment which has three toys, including a blue plastic bear, a
yellow plastic mirror and a clear plastic ball with small colorful beads

exposing the small beads inside, posing a choking hazard to young
children.

thermal/microwave ovens with a steel frame around glass panels. The oven
comes in a black, white or stainless steel finish and is sold as a single
or double-stacked unit.
The oven door may not lock properly when the oven is put into the
"self clean" mode. If oxygen is introduced
by opening the oven door during the "self clean" mode,
combustible material left inside can ignite and pose a fire risk.
